SpaceX in talks to buy Boost Mobile or use its network, Washington Post reports. SpaceX SPCX is in talks to buy EchoStar's ECHO wireless service Boost Mobile or gain access to its network, which it leases from AT&T T and T-mobile TMUS , the Washington Post reported on Monday. SpaceX has held talks with EchoStar in recent months about launching its own signature wireless service through a deal with the company, the report said, citing people familiar with the negotiations. The Elon Musk-led rocket maker is looking to build a hybrid satellite-terrestrial mobile network through Starlink Mobile to challenge US wireless giants AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, combining its satellite constellation with ground based infrastructure to compete directly in the telecom market. Wall Street Veteran Dumps Most of His NVIDIA Stake, Warns of AI Spending Slowdown. NVIDIA Corp. NVDA stock rose nearly 2% in Monday’s premarket trading as technology stocks gained ground. Nasdaq futures climbed 0.92%, while S&P 500 futures advanced 0.54%. The gains came as investors returned to large-cap technology stocks despite concerns about the sustainability of artificial intelligence spending. Weiss Cuts NVIDIA Exposure Steve Weiss , founder and managing partner of Short Hills Capital Partners , said he sold most of his NVIDIA holdings amid concerns that AI infrastructure spending may be approaching a peak. Weiss told CNBC on Friday that major technology companies continue to report strong growth, but questioned whether hyperscalers can maintain their current pace of AI investment. He warned of significant over-ordering of memory chips, semiconductors and data-center capacity, drawing comparisons with previous technology investment cycles. Weiss said AI investment is far from over but expects capital-spending growth to slow as companies assess returns on their investments. Technical Analysis NVIDIA trades 6.1% below its 20-day simple moving average (SMA) of $221.46 and 6.2% below its 50-day SMA of $221.75, signaling near-term weakness. The stock also sits 3.1% below its 100-day SMA of $214.52 but remains 1.7% above its 200-day SMA of $204.38, suggesting its longer-term trend remains intact. The moving average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator remains below its signal line, pointing to weakening momentum. Key resistance stands near $235, while support is around $190. A sustained move above $221 could signal renewed buying interest. Earnings and Analyst Outlook NVIDIA is scheduled to report earnings Nov. 17. Analysts expect earnings of $2.48 per share on revenue of $109.17 billion, compared with $1.30 per share and $57.01 billion a year earlier. The stock carries a consensus Buy rating, with an average analyst price forecast of $342.08 across 50 analysts. Top ETF Exposure NVIDIA has significant exposure in several exchange-traded funds, including the Sapient Quality Select ETF SQS at 9.82%, Applied Finance Valuation Large Cap ETF (NYSE: VSLU ) at 9.85% and First Trust Innovation Leaders ETF (NYSE: ILDR ) at 9.96%. NVDA Price Action NVIDIA shares gained 1.64% to $207.99 in Monday’s premarket trading, according to Benzinga Pro data.

Micron Stock Bounces Back, but the Market Needs More as AI Fears Linger — Barrons.com. By George Glover Micron stock was clawing back some of its recent losses on Monday — but now probably isn't the time to buy the dip in the memory-chip maker, as investors continue to worry about artificial-intelligence spending. Shares of Micron rose 2.7% to $908.49 ahead of the opening bell. They fell 2.1% last week, meaning they're were down 17% over the past month through Friday's close. There wasn't an obvious catalyst driving the stock higher, other than a broader market rebound. Other AI names including chips and networking company Marvell and memory-card maker Sandisk were also rising in Monday's premarket. Futures tracking the Nasdaq 100 advanced 0.9%. It's tempting to see the recent selloff in Micron stock as a buying opportunity. It looks cheap, fetching just five times expected earnings for the current fiscal year — not bad for a company with an 87% margin thanks to the AI data-center buildout driving up memory-chip demand. But this probably isn't the right time to bet on shares. Monday's rebound was little more than dip-buying, with investors still questioning if Big Tech companies such as Alphabet and Amazon will still want to pay for the AI buildout at a time when their legacy businesses are struggling. The market also faces three major tests this week — Apple earnings, the midterm elections, and Friday's jobs report. If it can clear those hurdles and the AI spending worries go away, then Micron may be worth buying again. Nvidia Rebounds but Its Stock Chart Is Looking Really Ugly — Barrons.com. By Callum Keown Nvidia is on a bad run but things could be about to get much worse — if its stock chart is anything to go by. The stock fell 10% to $204.64 in October despite reaching a record closing price of $239.24 early in the month. Shortly after that all-time high, ICAP Technical Analysis warned that the stock was at risk of peaking with its weekly chart resembling a "big, bearish, rising wedge." Well, ICAP's update isn't an encouraging one. The key weekly support line was "decisively broken last week," chief technical strategist Walter Zimmerman said in a note Sunday. The next step down could be at $185.94, he said, while noting that the Fibonacci retracement — a 61.8% drop — would be at $92.99. "For those who follow Nvidia as if it were a cult, that may seem absurdly low. However Nvidia last traded at $93 per share back on Apr.7, 2025," Zimmerman said. "Only 19 months ago. Not like 19 years ago." "What has changed in the last 19 months? Valuations went to the outer solar system." There is one last hope for the bulls, though. The stock needs a sustained reversal higher before it reaches $197.73. Technical analysis is just one part of the story and doesn't include fundamentals or broader factors. But those aren't going in Nvidia's favor at the moment either, with fears over the artificial-intelligence boom hurting tech stocks. Nvidia was up 1.6% to $207.98 ahead of the open Monday, though. Maybe all is not lost. Write to Callum Keown at callum.keown@dowjones.com This content was created by Barron's, which is operated by Dow Jones & Co. Buying the Intel Dip Could Be a Mistake, Analyst Warns—‘Dead Money’ Until ‘Bad Planning’ and Capacity Woes Are Fixed. Intel Corp. INTC suffered its steepest single-day decline since 1974, sliding to approximately $65 per share Friday, raising fresh questions about the chipmaker’s turnaround. Seaport analyst Jay Goldberg advised investors to remain on the sidelines, saying the company "clearly has planning and capacity issues, which they need to grapple with." He added, "Until they do, it’s kind of dead money. I think it trades flat for a while," according to CNBC. Goldberg said Intel manufactured too many PC chips during a severe downturn while producing too few server chips to meet strong demand. He blamed "bad planning assumptions" and difficulty securing "all the components they needed." The analyst, however, said that Intel could be "in good shape" after resolving its capacity problems. PC Weakness and Capacity Risks Cloud Outlook Intel beat third-quarter earnings and revenue estimates. However, its fourth-quarter outlook fell short, with projected EPS of 25 cents and revenue of $15 billion-$16 billion below analyst expectations. John Pitzer , Intel’s corporate vice president of investor relations, said that the PC slowdown arrived "sooner and deeper" than the company expected, adding that rising memory prices were weighing particularly heavily on laptop demand. Intel is seeing stronger data-center CPU demand driven by agentic AI, but continued weakness in the PC market could limit its near-term recovery, eMarketer senior analyst Asa Hiken said. The company’s long-term growth prospects depend heavily on its foundry business and advanced chip-packaging technology. However, Intel must secure substantial customer commitments to justify its massive manufacturing investments and convince investors that its foundry ambitions are commercially viable, the analyst said. However, Futurum Group CEO Daniel Newman said Intel’s weak guidance reflects capacity expansion challenges and product mix rather than slowing demand. Strategist Shay Boloor warned that production constraints could push server CPU customers toward rivals Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD and Nvidia Corp. NVDA , potentially costing Intel market share. Benzinga’s Edge Rankings place INTC in the 50th percentile for momentum. Benzinga’s screener allows you to compare INTC’s performance with its peers. Stock Futures Higher, Oil Lower as Investors Return to Risk. By Joe Stonor Stock futures rose and Treasury yields eased, as falling oil prices encouraged investors to make a cautious return to risk after last week's tech selloff. Nasdaq futures rose 0.7%, while futures for the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial average were up 0.4% and 0.2%, respectively. Artificial-intelligence stocks rallied after heavy selling last week, ending in the Nasdaq's worst one-day decline since June on Friday. Asian stock indexes largely rose as some money returned to AI, with the South Korean Kospi closing 2.2% higher though Japan's Nikkei 225 slipped 0.3%. European indexes were mostly higher. Investors are grappling with mounting doubts around AI, Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid wrote in a note. AI stocks will be back in focus when tech giant Apple reports earnings after the closing bell Monday. In the bond market, Treasury yields slipped at the longer end of the curve. Ten-year yields fell back to hover around 4.910%, while 30-year yields traded below 5.300%. Two-year yields crept higher, trading around 4.600% as investors continued to expect a Federal Reserve rate hike in December. Oil prices fell, with benchmark Brent crude for January delivery dropping 3.8% to trade just above $109 a barrel, while the West Texas Intermediate contract for December fell below $100 a barrel. Prices rose last week as fears grew that the U.S. could resume strikes against Iran following the midterm elections. However, greater hopes for diplomatic advances Monday saw oil return some of the week's gains. Gold futures ticked higher but continued to trade below $4,000 a troy ounce. The dollar weakened against a basket of global currencies, and bitcoin edged higher to $78,200 but remained below its level before last week's hack of Binance. The week ahead will be shaped by U.S. midterm elections. Investors will watch final-stage polls closely, with a Democratic sweep of the House and Senate viewed as negative for the AI trade amid voter concern around data centers. As well as Apple, Palantir and Vertex Pharmaceuticals are among companies reporting after the closing bell. Write to Joe Stonor at josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com

Elon Musk Pushes Back Against Sam Altman’s View That Personal Computers Waste DRAM: ‘The People Deserve to Have Their RAM Too!’. Elon Musk challenged OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s argument that scarce memory belongs in cloud data centers rather than personal computers, turning a dispute over chip supplies into a broader debate over who should control computing power. Altman Argues Cloud Servers Use RAM Better "The people deserve to have their RAM too!" Musk declared in a Sunday post on X, sharing a meme showing an interrogator asking, "You are withholding DRAM from the cloud, are you not?" His response highlights the growing tension between cloud-based AI infrastructure and consumers who want powerful personal computers. Elon Musk @elonmusk The people deserve to have their RAM too! pic.twitter.com/q6dwauALw4 Nov 01, 2026 Altman made his case during an October 29 episode of Stripe co-founder John Collison’s ‘Cheeky Pint’ podcast, challenging the idea that open-source AI models running on personal computers could reduce reliance on data centers. He called it "quite terrible" that people keep scarce DRAM in their computers, estimating that they use that memory only "5% of the time." Altman framed the figure as part of a resource-allocation argument but cited no supporting data in the interview. "You want maximum utilization in the cloud," Altman added, arguing centralized data centers could use scarce memory more efficiently. OpenAI’s Stargate partnerships with Samsung Electronics SSNLF and SK Hynix Inc. SKHY , announced in October 2025, aim to expand advanced-memory production toward 900,000 DRAM wafer starts monthly, according to the company. The agreements show the scale of AI developers’ demand for limited memory. AI Memory Shortage Hits Consumer Computers Consumers are already feeling the pressure. Research firm TrendForce projected conventional DRAM contract prices would rise 10% to 15% in the fourth quarter of 2026 and warned that chipmakers’ shift toward servers could squeeze PC memory supplies further in 2027. Higher memory prices have already pushed up the cost of PC components . Reuters reported last week that Samsung had sold out its high-bandwidth memory for 2027, while SK Hynix said its DRAM and high-bandwidth memory output was sold out through 2029. Musk’s Own Data Centers Need Memory Musk also competes for those chips. His SpaceX AI operation runs the giant Colossus computing facilities, and he said in September that Colossus 2 already used 550,000 Nvidia GB200 and GB300 processors, with plans to add more. Musk has also criticized some memory suppliers for what he called "extortionate" future pricing and warned China could expand RAM production by 2028.
