Meta eyes at least $20 billion from potential bond offerings, Bloomberg News reports. Meta META is eyeing at least $20 billion from a potential cross-border bond offering, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, the latest move by a tech giant to tap debt markets to raise funds for its costly AI infrastructure build-out. The report comes about a week after the company announced plans for its largest-ever equity offerings of around $97.5 billion. No final decision has been made and the offering's size may grow depending on investor demand, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Meta has asked Citigroup C and Morgan Stanley MS to hold investor calls on Monday and Tuesday, the report added. Tech giants are increasingly tapping debt markets and raising equity as they spend hundreds of billions of dollars on expanding their AI infrastructure. Meta's potential dollar bond sale will span maturities of 5 to 30 years, while the euro offering will range from around 4 years to just over 38 years, according to the report. Meta, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment. Last week, Meta priced a $25 billion common-stock offering and a $12.5 billion offering of mandatory convertible preferred shares. It also plans to raise up to $60 billion through an at-the-market share-sale program, which would allow it to periodically sell shares at prevailing market prices.

Hyperscalers, Neoclouds Seen With More Than $309B in Cash Flow Losses Next Year — Market Talk. The top AI hyperscalers and neoclouds are expected to post much wider free cash losses next year, StoneX analysts project in a note, raising questions about capital availability to bridge the deficit. Looking at six top hyperscalers, plus neoclouds CoreWeave and Nebius, analysts estimate free cash losses across the group are expected to be more than $309 billion in 2027, compared with a loss of more than $112 billion this year. "The inability to fund this free cash flow deficit over the next few years represents the single greatest concern on Wall Street at the moment, and until investors feel more confident about funding the deficit (or willingness to fund it), chip companies with heavy exposure to the data center market may struggle to re-rate higher," the analysts say. Google Says Demand Will Swallow Every Data Center It Builds. Google ’s top energy executive is pushing back on fears of an AI infrastructure glut, days after Wall Street punished Alphabet Inc. GOOGL GOOG for its spending. Amanda Peterson Corio , Google’s global head of energy and power, told The Information last week that the bigger danger lies in building too little. "I am much more worried about the risk of underbuilding than overbuilding. We have very clear demand from our customers, and we have a variety of customers," she said. "We are fairly confident that everything we are building today and paying for is going to be used and utilized." GOOGL stock is up. Get all the fresh details here. Spending Rattles Wall Street The comments come at a tough moment for the stock. Alphabet’s Class A shares fell 12.6% last Thursday for their worst day since they began trading more than 20 years ago. Before Monday’s opening bell, Class A shares traded at $288.43, down 11.2% from Wednesday’s $324.89 close, according to Benzinga Pro data. The quarter gave investors plenty to chew on. Diluted earnings per share dropped to $2.12 from $2.87, well below the roughly $3 consensus. Capital expenditures totaled $51.36 billion in the third quarter, short of the $55.09 billion analysts expected, CNBC reported. Free cash flow came in at negative $9.07 billion. Alphabet did not blink on its spending plans. The company maintained its full-year capex forecast of $195 billion to $205 billion and still expects a significant increase in 2027. Debt is rising alongside the buildout. Long-term debt climbed to $125.1 billion, up from $21.6 billion a year earlier. The earnings report supports Peterson Corio’s demand argument on the revenue side. Consolidated revenue rose 25% to $127.6 billion. Google Cloud revenue jumped 103% to $30.7 billion, and sales of TPU systems were a meaningful contributor to growth. On the earnings call, Alphabet said 35% of its third-quarter technical infrastructure investment went to data centers, which carry useful lives of seven to 40 years. The other 65% went to servers and networking equipment. Customers Line Up for Capacity Capacity is still tight. Because of supply constraints, Google began tapping third-party compute capacity at the end of the third quarter and plans to ramp its use in the fourth quarter, which management expects to pressure margins in the near term. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian described the pull from buyers in strong terms. He told analysts the company is seeing "extraordinary demand and strong growth" from AI labs, capital markets, financial services institutions and enterprises. Executives also said nearly 100 clients use TPUs and expect to recognize just over 55% of the cloud backlog as revenue over the next 24 months. The Bottom Line Investors want proof the spending pays off before the 2027 ramp begins. Peterson Corio’s remarks signal Google has no plans to tap the brakes. GOOGL Stock Price Activity: Alphabet shares were up 1.31% at $283.51 at the time of publication Monday, according to Benzinga Pro market data.

AMD Q3 Preview: Expert Says ‘Growth Story Remains Impressive,’ Can Earnings Send Stock Back to Highs. Advanced Micro Devices AMD looks to rebound from last week’s tech selloff when the company reports third-quarter financial results Tuesday after market close. Analysts expect AMD to report third-quarter revenue of $13.09 billion. That’s up from $9.25 billion in the third quarter of last year, according to data from Benzinga Pro. The company has beaten analyst revenue estimates in 15 straight quarters. The estimated revenue would mark a new quarterly record, surpassing the $11.54 billion reported in the second quarter. Analysts expect AMD to report third-quarter earnings per share of $1.95, up from $1.20 last year. The company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in four straight quarters and in eight of the last 10 quarters overall. What Experts Say Freedom Capital Markets Chief Market Strategist Jay Woods recognizes the timing of the company’s earnings coming "with tech stocks suddenly on defense." AMD stock fell 11% on Friday and shares are down 23.3% from all-time highs set in early October. "Fundamentally, the growth story remains impressive," Woods said in a weekly newsletter. The market expert highlights that AMD’s second-quarter revenue was up by 50% year-over-year with Data Center segment revenue more than doubling. "As we’ve seen across the AI trade, strong fundamentals haven’t necessarily translated into higher stock prices. Tuesday’s report will be another important test of investors’ willingness to reward that growth." For the technicals, Woods calls out the 100-day moving average near $529 and a 50-day moving average near $548 as upside targets. Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore maintained an Equal-Weight rating on AMD and raised the price target from $465 to $510 ahead of earnings. "Expect very strong server CPU to at least compensate for PC headwinds," Moore said. The analyst’s comments come after Intel Corporation INTC stock got hit last week and the company provided a negative outlook for the PC market. Moore said PCs represent around 20% of revenue for AMD and data center segment will likely be more important on Tuesday. "AMD has the benefit of being able to build products customers would prefer vs. Intel on basically any single digit node." Here are other recent analyst ratings on AMD and their price targets: Susquehanna: Maintained Positive rating, raised price target from $620 to $650 Wedbush: Maintained Outperform rating, with price target of $600 Citigroup: Maintained Buy rating, raised price target from $575 to $800 Key Items to Watch AMD’s earnings report could serve as a bellwether for the semiconductor sector this week, following the recent selloff. The good news for the company may be its diversification and recent growth from data center-related revenue. In the second quarter , Client and Gaming revenue was up 6% year-over-year and Embedded revenue was up 19% year-over-year. Data Center revenue grew 107%, helping the company set quarterly records. The company highlighted the momentum heading into the second half of the year. AMD has posted four straight double beats with revenue beating estimates for 15 consecutive quarters. Another double beat and strong fourth-quarter guidance could boost shares and help them recover from last week’s selloff. The big question is whether the report will be enough to offset the selloff. AMD Stock Price Action AMD stock is trading near flat at $505.12 on Monday versus a 52-week trading range of $188.22 to $658.52. AMD shares are up 125.7% year-to-date in 2026.

What's Moving Markets Today? — WSJ. By Jack Pitcher Major stock indexes are bouncing back from Friday's declines while oil prices tumble. Here's what's moving markets today: Middle East diplomacy: Brent crude futures were down around 7.5% at midday after reports that President Trump may favor diplomacy over renewed strikes on Iran, and that Iran's government is willing to engage. That helped send industrial and materials stocks sharply higher, while the energy sector fell. Manufacturing data: Factory activity expanded in the U.S. for the 10th consecutive month, according to a survey of firms. Meanwhile, the number of firms reporting higher prices dropped from a month earlier. Bond yields fell, and parts of the stock market tied to the economy are outperforming. Tech earnings: A series of disappointing quarterly results from big tech companies hurt shares last week. Today, all eyes are on Apple, which will report earnings under new CEO John Ternus for the first time after the close. Apple traded down about 2% ahead of the report, weighing on the tech sector more broadly. This item is part of a Wall Street Journal live coverage event.
